Tuschpause is built to work entirely on your device. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising network, and no server that Tuschpause sends your speeches, rehearsals, or Sitzungen to. Everything you write and record stays on your iPhone or iPad.
What is stored, and where
Your speeches, Strophen, Pointen, Sitzungen, rehearsal runs, Orden progress, and character portraits are stored only in the app's own storage area on your device (with file protection enabled). Small preferences — such as haptics, sound, prompter text size, your default slot length and pace, and which speech is active — are stored in your device's local UserDefaults.
None of this data is transmitted anywhere. If you delete Tuschpause, this data is deleted with it.
Camera
Tuschpause asks for camera access only when you choose to photograph a handwritten verse sheet or take a portrait photo for a stage character (a Figur). The photo is processed on your device using Apple's on-device text recognition to turn handwriting into editable Strophen. Photos are never uploaded anywhere.
Photo library
When you pick an existing photo instead of taking a new one, Tuschpause uses Apple's system photo picker. The app only ever receives the single image you explicitly choose — it has no broader access to your photo library.
Notifications
If you turn on a reminder for a Sitzung, Tuschpause schedules a local notification on your device (the evening before, and two hours ahead). These notifications are generated and delivered entirely on-device; no push service or external server is involved. Notification permission is only requested at the moment you turn a reminder on.
Links tab
The Links tab opens a small number of carnival association websites (for example the Bund Deutscher Karneval or the Festkomitee Kölner Karneval) inside the app's own in-app browser. These pages are run by their own publishers and are shown using a private, non-persistent browsing session — Tuschpause does not send them any information about you or your device.
Children's privacy
Tuschpause does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect information at all.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes — for example if a future version of Tuschpause adds a feature that collects data — this page will be updated and the "Last updated" date above will change accordingly.
